Bringing it back to a local joint this time around. This may be the best sushi place in the city (and if not, definitely in all of Richmond.) A little shop situated on the side of a plaza, you’d never guess that it serves some of the freshest fish in the city. Granted, it is often full every night as reservations fill up and have to be made a week in advance (just to be safe.) We were rather excited to be eating here as a Thursday night treat! Once we entered the shop, we were kindly welcomed and promptly seated at a table that was already waiting for us. Service was prompt and the chef was busy at work behind the visible bar/kitchen. We were starving, so after a quick look over the menu, we went for a selection of specials, sashimi and nigiri. Both cooked food and raw were equally as delicious as we chowed down piece after piece of beautifully and delicately crafted food. This wonderful establishment is truly a gem and I can’t wait to be back to enjoy another heck of a meal.
