According to Wikipedia, Mount Pleasant is a neighbourhood that stretches from Cambie Street to Clark Drive and from Great Northern Way and 2nd, to 16th and Kingsway. It’s always been a favourite neighbourhood of mine because there’s always something happening, and because there is always something new to see no matter how many times you’ve visited before. It houses an ever-changing scene full of art, culture, shops, and cuisines. It offers a generally relaxed and “homey” atmosphere. And it is one of those areas of Vancouver that really encompasses a neighbourly-vibe as residents and visitors of the area alike, are welcoming and nice. Everyone seems to quietly go about their day, but a smile and conversation is never too far away.
Recently, I was in the area and was able to bring along a camera to capture a tiny part of its beautiful environment. I hope you’ll enjoy these photographs as much as I enjoyed capturing them, and that you will have a chance to visit this quirky neighbourhood for yourself one day!
